SPEA
SPEA (the Society of Professional Engineers and Associates) is a local association representing the workers at AtkinsRealis at the local level.
In 2024, the association recognized the limitations of working alone at the local level against the growing power of AtkinsRealis and approached Unifor.
The resulting merger association helped give SPEA members access to expert labour relations and collective bargaining resources and a connection to energy and nuclear workers across Canada.
